Temple Body didn’t begin with a business plan. It began in my kitchen.
In quiet moments, often at the end of long days, I found myself drawn back to simple practices. Warming oils between my hands, mixing balms slowly, paying attention to how my skin felt rather than how it looked. I wasn’t trying to create anything remarkable. I was simply responding to what my body was asking for.
Listening to My Body
My skin needed less. Less stimulation, less fragrance, less pressure to perform or transform. Like many women, my body had changed through life, through stress, through becoming a mother, and what once worked no longer felt right. The harder I tried to correct it, the more sensitive it became.
So I slowed down. I began to approach skincare the same way I approach nourishment, asking what would truly support my body rather than overwhelm it. I started reading, learning, and returning to ingredients that felt familiar and grounding. The kitchen became a place of quiet experimentation and care.
Making Care by Hand
There was something deeply calming about making things myself. Infusing oils gently, choosing each ingredient with intention, keeping everything simple and purposeful. I wasn’t chasing perfection or results. I was looking for comfort and balance, for something my skin could trust.
Over time, my skin began to respond. Not dramatically or overnight, but steadily and honestly. What started as a personal practice slowly became something others noticed. Friends would ask what I was using. Family would ask if they could try it. The response was always the same. It felt different. It felt considered.
When It Became More Than Me
At some point, it became clear that this wasn’t just about my own skin. So many women around me were navigating bodies that had changed and needed gentler care. Bodies that felt sensitive, tired, or unfamiliar. Bodies that had carried so much.
Temple Body was born from that shared experience. From the understanding that women didn’t need another product promising to fix them, but something that would meet them where they were and support them quietly, day after day.
Why I Called It Temple Body
The name came naturally because it reflected how I wanted women to feel about their bodies. Not pressured or judged, but respected. A temple is a place you tend to with care. You move slowly within it. You treat it with reverence, not expectation.
That is how I believe we should care for our bodies, with patience, gentleness, and intention.
From My Kitchen to Yours
Temple Body still carries the essence of those early days in my kitchen. Simple formulations, fewer ingredients, and a deep respect for the body’s ability to restore itself when given the right support. Everything we create is rooted in the belief that nourishment, when done gently and consistently, is powerful.
This has never been about perfection. It has always been about care. About creating something that feels safe, grounding, and honest for the body you are in now.
A Personal Note
If you’re reading this and your body feels unfamiliar or in need of a softer kind of care, I see you. Temple Body was created with you in mind.
From my kitchen to Temple Body, this journey has always been about creating space for women to return to themselves.
